Now I think is easiest to do the mouth and the eyes if want to tie them cleanly inside the plush. Do experiment if you like the face higher or lower than I do. Here I place markers for eyes and mouth between rows 12 and 13 (I use just pieces of yarn) so that I get the height right. Or if you plan on sewing the stripes on or usin felt, do:ġ3. I’m not a professional, so the pattern might not be too good, but this is how I make my slimes. Tabby Slime body (basic slime body with stripes) If you plan to sew the stripe later, it’s good to put markers as you crochet. I follow the beginning of the rows with a yarn in the back of the plush, it helps when doing the stripes, I lose count often. The body is the same basic slime pattern of mine as the Pink Slime, difference is only if you want to crochet the stripes with different colour while making the body instead of sewing them on the crochet later. The eyes I use are 6mm glass beads, but I think one can use different sizes as well, or safety eyes, buttons, felted eyes, or sewed knots, what ever you want or have. I hooked only the back part of the stitch leaving more visible stripe edge. On right, I sewed the stripes on after crocheting. On the left, the stripes are grey and black yarn twisted together while crocheting. (Usually just whatever I have in those colours) I only recently found darker grey yarn that is visible against the base colour, earlier stripes I made with black yarn. I used 3mm hook and acrylic yarn on the slimes.
